GASTRONOMÍA LATINA EN LA NY RESTAURANT WEEK!

Nada como la llegada de Restaurant Week para explorar la mejor gastronomía que Nueva York ofrece de todas las cocinas del mundo. Desde estas páginas les invitamos a saborearlas sin reparo y les recomendamos especialmente la gastronomía Latina en todas sus variedades. Este año hay nuevas adiciones a la lista de restaurante que ofrecen un menú especial, a precios especiales durante los días que dura la celebración. NYC Restaurant Week se realiza del 18 de Enero al 5 de Febrero. El costo se mantiene en $25/Almuerzo y $38/Cena. Buen Provecho!.

Esta semana se escucharán muchos 'te acuerdas hace 11 años, hace 10 años!'. Y muchos, 'increíble!'. El Festival Celebrate Mexico Now entra en su edición número 11 y la Orquesta Filarmónica de las Américas, que se lanzó en el Celebrate Mexico Now llega a sus 10 años. La celebración es en el Town Hall con un conciertazo el 1 de Noviembre con Alondra de La Parra dirigiendo la Orquesta acompañada de Natalia Lafourcade. Les traeré los pormenores desde el Town Hall el día del concierto.

Como todos los años también presentan los cortos ganadores del 11th Festival de Cine Internacional de Morelia en el teatro SVA de Chelsea y el Concierto de Piano con Cesar Reyes / Michiyo Morikawa con un repertorio de Compositores clásicos y contemporáneos mexicanos en el Greenwich House Music School el 29 de Octubre.
El Instituto Cervantes por su parte se une a la celebración con la muestra de la artista Ximena Pérez Grobet que abre al público el 30 de Octubre.

Una gran iniciativa de El Museo del Barrio y el Museo de la Ciudad de Nueva York, Uptown Bounce conjuga música, arte, talleres de arte y danza, gastronomía, DJs y tragos especiales para hacer de estas dos instituciones culturales una destinación en las noches veraniegas de Nueva York.

THE VENEZUELAN ART FESTIVAL OPENS IN NYC

Los primeros diez días de Noviembre están dedicados a celebrar el Venezuelan Art Festival en NYC. Para este tercer aniversario el festival ha preparado una cartelera que incluye un desfile de moda, un par de conciertos, muestras de arte, obras de teatro, una muestra de cortometrajes y deleites culinarios para que se empapen y disfruten del quehacer artístico y cultural de Venezuela justo aquí, en la Gran Manzana. 


Les recomendamos que traten de asistir a alguno de éstos eventos!. El Venezuelan Art Festival se realiza del 1 al 10 de Noviembre en varios puntos de la ciudad:

 * Teatro: 
- ALICE IN THERESA’S LAND... Author: Lupe Gehrembeck Director: Lupe Gehrembeck > Nov. 7, 8,10 > The Producer’s Club.

- Alessandro Balteo Yazbeck presentará su trabajo en la Galería Henrique Farías.

 * Gastronomía:
- Los restaurantes Guayoyo, El Cocotero, Caracas Arepa Bar y Arepa Café, ofrecerán un menú brunch durante el festival.
