Como les he estado informando via Twitter, nuestra APP solo está disponible para la plataforma Android en estos momentos, hasta que lancemos la nueva versión, ahora en desarrollo. Los que tengan la versión de Apple ( y Android ) pueden continuar usándola 'as is'. La APP seguirá ofreciendo nuestro contenido original actualizado y, excepto por un par de módulos inoperables como el de twitter, lo esencial esta allí a sus manos.

Con esta nota hago oficial el lanzamiento de LATINO EVENTS, nuestra nueva APP GRATUITA (FREE APP) para teléfonos inteligentes y tabletas con las plataformas Apple® y Android®!. Nos tomó un poco más tiempo del esperado pero cómo valió la pena cada segundo de espera: Ahora tenemos un mejor diseño y la información está mucho más accesible y clara.

Noticias estupendas!. Ya superamos 1 millón de visitas en total y promediamos 50 mil visitas mensuales a nuestros portales Tespis Magazine, LatinoEvents y TespisTV!. Gracias a todos Ustedes, los números siguen creciendo!.
Y hay mucho por hacer. Documentar la ascendencia de la minoría más poderosa en la historia de los Estados Unidos, su cultura, sus metas, sus retos y sus triunfos en todos los quehaceres del conocimiento, no es cosa de un día para el otro y toma tiempo y dinero. Podemos hacer más si nos ayudas!.

Porque crecer significa invertir más tiempo, dedicación y dinero como ya la mencioné. Y en estos tiempos de cambiante panorama en los medios de comunicación, ya sé que muchos estamos buscando maneras de crecer. La participación ciudadana juega aquí un rol vital: ayuda a mantener voces independientes y crear negocios exitosos que benefician a la comunidad At Large. En lo concreto estoy trabajando en una nueva versión de LatinoEvents APP, nuevos diseños/arte para los portales, streamline el mailing list, lanzar una guía cultural via newsletter para subscriptores del nuevo LatinoEvents Plus, la implementación de un 'Reward Program' con cupones, ofertas especiales e invitaciones, la promoción de eventos, showcases de cine, teatro, arte y música, material promocional. En la mesa también está el lanzamiento del Festival Tespis, un showcase de Latino Culture en NYC.
Todo esto toma tiempo y cuesta dinero. Por eso te invito a que consideres hacer una pequeña inversión en Tespis Magazine, LatinoEvents y Tespis TV.

Ya celebramos el Orgullo Gay 2014 en Nueva York y les tengo un video que armé con momentos del Desfile/Parade con las carrozas abarrotadas de gente cantando y bailando sobre la Calle Christopher, donde termina la marcha que se inicia mucho más arriba sobre la 5ta Avenida.
También les tengo un nuevo set de fotografías que pude capturar al final de la tarde con una luz estupenda que hace resplandecer la bandera arco iris. Las fotos ya las monto en otra nota.

Isabel Allende entró a la sala del Instituto Cervantes donde la esperábamos para conversar sobre su proceso creativo y su más reciente novela, RIPPER, y de lo primero que nos habló fue de la lamentable muerte de El Gabo. Mi primera pregunta a Isabel Allende fue entonces sobre la influencia de Gabriel García Márquez para la literatura y en su carrera de escritora en particular.
'García Márquez es el Gran Pilar,' enfatiza la escritora al hablar de El Gabo.
