ART AND MUSIC AT THE HIGHLINE, NYC

Posted by LATINO EVENTS Y TESPIS MAGAZINE on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 , under , , , , , , , , , , , , | comments (0)

Along the Highline Park you will always encounter plenty of art al fresco, mainly sculpture, video installations and murals.

And of course, plenty of beauty and art provided by the Highline itself. I am a neighbor and I try to walk along its path every time I can.

Sure I always find something new to ponder about or take a picture.  Here is a look at what I've seen lately: Works by Ed Ruscha, Isabelle Cornaro, Josh Kline, Marianne Vitale, and more.
You can also time your visit with the ¡Arriba! Dance Parties at the HighLine. Get into some Latin Dancing on June 25, July 23 and/or August 27.
Enjoy the slide show below or follow the link > HIGHLINE.
For more info on the art you see here and the highline, visit > TheHighline.org

ART ALONG THE HIGHLINE PARK IN NYC

Posted by LATINO EVENTS Y TESPIS MAGAZINE on Friday, July 20, 2012 , under , , , , , , , , , , , | comments (0)

By far one of the most visited places in New York and one of my favorites, the Highline Park offers a magnificent way of enjoying the city: great views, beautiful nature and great art. It is like stepping into the NEW New York.

These pictures were taken in the last week or so. The top picture shows the latest mural by french artist JR, for instance. The pieces of art shown here will be on display for at least the rest of the season.

And is not only sculpture, but cinema (above, Warhol's) and family events that makes this park a versatile space to explore. From it you can expand into the Chelsea Art District and get more inspired!.

If you are in NYC, drop by, have fun on the Highline!. Enjoy the slideshow below. You can visit their website here >> HIGHLINE.
