The free weekly outdoor festivities feature live dance performances, a concert, and film screening from one of the many international locales that fuel Queens’ cultural and artistic vitality.

Just In Case of Rain, program moves inside the museum.
Spanish conductor Pablo Heras-Casado leads this magnificent period-instrument ensemble in a joyful program that features the “consistently inventive and illuminating” (New York Times) keyboardist Kristian Bezuidenhout.
>> WILLIAMSBURG SALSA ORCHESTRA > Agosto 10
>> AFRO LATIN CARIBBEAN NIGHT > Agosto 17
>> BACHATA AFTERWORK HAPPY HOUR > Agosto 20
>> SALSA GROOVE FEAT ALEX DIAZ SON DE CALLE >Agosto 31
Spanish bailaora Rebeca Tomás is back by popular demand to this encounter of artists of the Mediterrean. The phrase a palo seco refers to the "a cappella" style of flamenco music, typically consisting of singing or percussion alone. That stripped-down aesthetic characterizes some of the company's biggest departures from tradition, featured in this production of Tradiciones Nuevas. While implementing typical Flamenco props, such as the bata de cola (long-train dress) and abanico (Spanish fan), the repertoire in this production will feature the company's penchant for unconventional fare with an innovative and edgy New York feel.
Legendary Mexican band Cafe Tacuba celebrate their 20th anniversary this year with 20 shows in 20 cities around the world. Tonight is London's special night. With its mix of rock, electronica, ska and traditional Mexican sounds Cafe Tacuba has been one of Latin America's most successful and innovative bands over the last twenty years. This is only the bands third ever show in London.
Garcia became a breakout star with the release of his debut solo album ‘Laura.’ NPR named Diego Garcia’s debut “one of the top 25 albums of the year (so far).” He was ‘Artist of the Month’ at tastemaker radio station WXPN-FM in Philadelphia and ‘CD of the Month’ at WFUV in New York City. He has performed live shows for key radio shows across the country, including KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic and WXPN’s World Café.
Garcia’s poignant first single “You Were Never There,” which was co-written by Dhani Harrison (George Harrison’s son) is a perfect example. With lush string arrangements, delicate Spanish guitars, and distinctly Latin flavor, the song is worlds apart from Garcia’s former band Elefant. “You Were Never There” was a Starbucks ‘Pick of the Week’ (750,000 download cards), marking one of the only times that Starbucks has ever selected a Latino artist for this special opportunity.
Sunset Salsa 2012 with Talia is on fire! This FREE outdoor festival continues every Thursday through August 30th, with beginner salsa lesson at 6.30pm and dancing al fresco til 9pm!
Alegria combines his experience playing jazz as it developed in the U.S. with a passionate interest and careful study of the black music of coastal Perú. By incorporating and exploring the common African roots found in both styles, he has developed a uniquely Afro-Peruvian jazz music concept. The rich legacy of the black music of coastal Perú can be heard in a contemporary jazz context. In all of Alegria’s work, a cross-cultural exchange between the
Americas is always present, carefully defining Afro-Peruvian jazz music as the newest voice to come from Latin America.

His numerous recordings include more than 30 solo albums. In 1988, he was a founding member of the United Nation Orchestra, a 15-piece ensemble organized by Dizzy Gillespie to showcase the fusion of Latin and Caribbean influences with jazz. * LOS AMIGOS INVISIBLES > Le Poisson Rouge > Julio 19 > AMIGOS.
Grammy winners Los Amigos Invisibles are definitely amognst the hardest working bands in the Latin Alternative scene. The last time the full band performed in New York it was a sold out affair.
Since their first album in 1995, Los Amigos Invisibles have developed a sound based on the “gozadera” - an irresistible fusion of Latin rhythms with fiery funk, disco grooves and quirky retro lounge music.
