Hillary Clinton came back to the spotlight yesterday with a speech at the Council of Foreign Relations. A well written and well delivered speech that didn't get enough attention. I am not sure why because it is a complete presentation of the goals, the policies and the positions that she has been trying to implement and that will be central to her work as Secretary of State. A 'multi-partnered world' .With a clear and strong message to Iran, Clinton talks about how democracies go well beyond the mere act of holding elections. This applies to Iran but also to Venezuela or Honduras as she implies. The speech also incorporates references to Latin America, the Summit of the Americas, the Cairo Speech and the G-8 Summit and reasserts her goals in light of these new developments. It is a must.
