Hoy es el primer día, de diez (10), para darnos un paseo por el vibrante mundo de las artes visuales, la música y el talento con raíces latinoamericanas. La Semana Cultural de América Latina en NYC (LACW / Nov. 9-19) nos trae una cartelera repleta de buen teatro, música, arte y cine de varios países latinoamericanos. El año pasado disfrutamos sobremanera algunos de los conciertos presentados con grupos de Venezuela y Chile. Este año estamos seguros que LACW nos hará disfrutar de nuevo, y con diferentes propuestas, nuestras raíces latinas.
Para ésta 7ma edición, el equipo de Polly Ferman, fundadora de festival, nos tiene a artistas establecidos y emergentes que se presentan en varias instituciones culturales de la ciudad: el Repertorio Español, Carnegie Hall, El Museo del Barrio, El Instituto Cervantes y The Americas Society, entre otros.

- GlamourTango, Tango in Feminine Form.
Presented by PAMAR as the opening event for the 7th Annual Latin American Cultural Week. GlamourTango thrills audiences with its unique all-woman cast of tango musicians and dancers.This multi-media spectacle celebrates tango and honors those, until now, unheralded women who quietly wrote the pages of tango from its very beginning.
