Here we are at the end of another year. The Middle East comes back to the front page of the news, another demonstration of the failure of leadership that both, the Israeli and the Palestinians, live under. Moreover, the use of disproportionate force by Israel is already a staple of how it acts. The value of a child's life should be enough to stop this constant brutal bombardment. The super sophisticated Israeli military can't, for its life, find an intelligent way to defect a bunch of disorganize fighters. Hamas is so discredited by now, than many Arab countries, like Egypt today ( basically blaming Hamas) are really wishing it finally goes under. Palestinians in Gaza deserve better than leaders that keep failing them in providing even basic human dignity.
The Middle East is one of those areas that seems to have been set apart to be the eternal battleground of stupidity, fanaticism which is ignorance, and political and military power play for the local and the international cartels, be them nations or otherwise. The People? Oh well, just 'carne de cañon'. One wishes that the two parties to use that same dedication to bomb, to stop this nonsense and work for the two states solution that everyone knows is what needs to happen.
