Democrats for a time sought to keep Republicans out of the chamber by locking the doors, the newspaper reported, and at one point, "the two sides held simultaneous sessions, wielding separate gavels, passing two sets of legislation and heckling and shouting past each other to be heard by their respective presiding officers."
ROCKEFELLER LAWS DOWN!
Gov. Paterson signed the new law to eliminate the Rockefeller Laws as we know them. Which is a very good thing for everyone. A lot of Latinos are in prison for just small quantities of pot. Now treatment is preferred now over jail time. And we are saving some money in the process. Some people will be coming home soon to a new start. Best of luck!
The next step will be to legalize pot. It seems that some common sense is finally taking root with some decision makers. And the general public. Did you get to see The Family Guy take on the post issue. It is a must. I will posted soon.
PATERSON SELECCIONA A GILLIBRAND
David Paterson seleccionó a la legisladora demócrata Kirsten Gillibrand para ocupar el escaño vacante de Nueva York en el Senado federal, un día después del abrupto retiro de Caroline Kennedy en la contienda.
